But with musical creative direction, we’ll help you hone in on what matters in your songs. We’ll help you establish structure, arrangement, and begin designing a soundscape – with themes you want to explore.

Cut your tracks in-studio or on location.

As well as our treated recording studio in Southampton, we’ve recorded music in pro studios, rehearsal rooms, living rooms, churches, AirBnBs, and live on stage. No matter where we capture your sound, you’ll get a seasoned audio engineer with deep musical knowledge – to guide you to the vibe you want.

Capture acoustic and electronic instruments, in solo or ensemble performances – including choirs and complex live arrangements.

If you need them, we’ll source exceptional session players for drums, bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitar, synth, keyboard, and sound design – as well as a variety of vocalists and voiceover artists.

And all of this will happen in a safe, encouraging, welcoming creative environment, where you are free to be your true self as an artist.

Perfection means different things to different artists.

We’ve worked with drummers who’d kill us if we edited their groove, and others who’d kill us if we didn’t get them on the grid.

Some singers would rather not record at all than use pitch correction. Others love the effect of hard vocal tuning. All that matters to us is that your music comes out how you want it. And if that means editing, we’ve got you covered.

We use the latest digital tools to pitch vocals, brass, strings, and any other tonal instrument. We can quantise drums hit by hit, and match everything to the same tempo map.

We can comp the perfect take out of 20 different performances, or just leave your performances intact.

We firmly believe that the magic happens in pre-production. Start with a great song, arranged just as it should be. Strive to get the best performances, and capture something as close as possible to the final sound you want.

This approach makes mixing “easy” - but the magic isn’t over.

The objective of mixing is not to separate all the elements in a song (if it was, they’d call it separating). And it’s not to glue them all together, either. It’s not about compression or EQ, or this plugin or that “secret sauce saturation”.

It is about expressing the emotion in the song so that the listener feels it, too.

We make emotion-first mixes, based entirely on vibe and feeling – not on frequency numbers, LUFS, or plugin design.
