Wake Me Up When September Ends

Holy stinking hell – I am beat! It’s been the most manic couple of months. Recording, mixing, getting masters back from all over the place – and I STILL found time to get a wisdom tooth infection. But you know what? It’s been one of the best times so far. Even with my face trying to kill me.

New bands and artists in, bringing some incredible songs to life, and getting to flex my production chops a bit.

Can’t believe August and September came and went so fast. Last time I posted, it was July and I had the AC on. Now, the heating’s on and it’s dark by dinner time – so I don’t feel so bad being holed up in the studio on long edits and mixing sessions. Sun’s down, buns down (in the studio chair).

So, what have we been getting up to in the old cave of wonders?

ALLEY – Bringing a Songbook to Life

Newcomers @alley_the_band chose Dirty Beast Studio to cut their collection of songs, and it’s been a joy to work on this project. Feel like we’ve got some incredible performances, and the stories the songs are telling are hitting with the emotional punch they deserve to land with. Can’t wait to share this when it’s out, and I’m so looking forward to their next sessions in November!

The Moon Collective – Back with Horns

The Moon Collective are back in for the final touches on their debut album, before they head out on their first European tour. We jammed out and wrote horn parts and keyboard parts for the last two tracks before they go to master, and they’re already writing and looking ahead to album two.

That TOP SECRET Thing…

That top secret project? It’s ongoing. but taking shape one session at a time. Safe to say, this is going to be BIG when it’s out – looking at a summer 2026 festival run, campaigns, promo, and tons of music dropping like it’s hot. IT BE HOT. Stay tuned – or just let it hit you in the face when it’s out!

Singer Songwriter Sessions

We’ve got a new singer songwriter popping in this month, too, to cut some originals. Sounds like we share a lot of the same philosophies around music and recording – so this should be another fun and enjoyable partnership.

All the good things… Just gotta get that wisdom tooth out now!

Wanna book your own session? Get that song out of your head, and into some ears?
